Rescue of a mother who lost her baby

This cow’s baby calf died immediately after being born. His skin was used and he was made into a doll—so she would continue to believe he was still alive and produce milk.

She was hit by a vehicle, leaving her with a painful leg fracture. She also suffered a uterine prolapse.

She was handed over to the sanctuary as she was being forced to be sent into slaughter.

She has been rescued and is now receiving treatment for the fracture and the uterine prolapse at the sanctuary. We hope she recovers soon and is able to live a life free of exploitation.
